Coelius Aurelianus, who collected his history of the hydrophobia from Eudemus, Soranus, and other writers with whom we are little acquainted, tells us that the hydrophobia is immediately pre#ceded by extreme irritability, unusual motions of the body, disturbed sleep or absolute wakefulness, indigestion, stretch#ings, yawning, nausea, imaginary notions of bad weather, and no appetite for drink.
