A progress update after 10 weeks taking Vet-endorsed joint care and support supplements for adult and senior dogs

Our pooches have been taking Harringtons supplements for over ten weeks now and we thought you’d like to know how they are getting along now that the benefits are really starting to show!

As I mentioned in our blog before, our pooches Pops, Puggy Smalls and Pomegranate all have very different needs and as an obsessive, dedicated dog owner, I really want the best for each of them. It’s rare to find a ‘one size fits all’ approach to joint supplements, but Harringtons have knocked it right out of the park with this range and there is no going back for us. It’s especially easy with the subscription service as we automatically get a restock when needed, so there’s no admin involved or panic ordering.

As I mentioned in our previous blog, we had noticed a difference in all the dogs joint health in just a few short weeks, but after ten weeks, the results speak for themselves!

Our senior Dachshund, Miss Pops suffers with arthritis and is getting stiffer and creakier as she approaches her 11th birthday. Pops is also a two-time survivor of IVDD, a spinal disease common in dachshunds, which causes disks to calcify. She has been paralysed twice but following successful specialist surgeries, has made a miraculous recovery! Naturally with age, and spinal trauma, little Pops will always suffer ‘flare ups’, particularly in the colder months, so these supplements came into our lives at the perfect time. Pops is visibly more mobile, limber and active and is walking further and faster, even on the colder days, which used to really slow her down. Pops’ hydro therapist has now reduced her sessions to once monthly as she’s doing so well and showing such an outstanding improvement. All in all she is a happier healthier dog, and we will be forever thankful to Harringtons for these wonder supplements.

Pops takes the senior joint care chew, which she gobbles up as if it was a treat! She’s very fussy but even after all this time, she waits, wagging her little tail until she gets her daily chew. These are also available in an easy to swallow tablet form if that’s what your pooch would prefer!

Harringtons Advanced Science Diet chews are a veterinary-approved supplement designed to promote joint care in senior dogs aged 7+ years. As Pops weighs a tiny 4.7kg, she takes just one chew per day as recommended and we have noticed a real change in her ever since. With a highly concentrated formula of Green-lipped mussel which is highly concentrated source of Omega, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Glucosamine and Manganese, Pops’ little joints are nurtured and being kept as supple, pain free and healthy as possible!

Puggy is our 8-year-old Pug who has also been unlucky with his health. He attends weekly laser and hydrotherapy sessions to help his joint pain and weakness in his hind legs, so we like to give him the best head start with the Harringtons adult supplement tablets.

These vet approved, easy to swallow tablets are perfect and things just keep getting better since we introduced them to Puggy! They taste fishy and so delicious that he gobbles them up without us needing to crush them or hide them in his meals!

The adult chews have been an absolutely game changer for puggy and things just keep getting better for him. They performed so well for Puggy that we have been discharged from laser therapy, and again his hydro therapists have noticed a real improvement to his flexibility and movement and have been able to push him more during his sessions.

With the exact same benefits as the chews, the adult tablets are recommended to all poches from 1-7 years. Puggy has just turned 8, so we have now progressed him to the senior joint supplements, to give him the best head start as he gets older.

Lastly, we have our foxy, bouncy little Pomeranian, Pomegranate. Pommie has no specific health issues and is young and very fit, but we choose to give her the adult supplement chew daily, to ensure she can stay as young and carefree for as long as possible. She’s only 6 years old, but we adore her energy and zest for life, so we believe these chews will really help to elongate her prime and keep her in the best shape possible.

As a crazy dog lady, who wants nothing but the best for my pack of pooches, I really can’t recommend these enough. We have tried just about every supplement on the market and can safely day these have been the most versatile and beneficial to our pooches. The impact was clear even on a short term basis, but after ten weeks we couldn’t be happier with the results and our dogs are thriving.

We will continue giving these to our dogs every day and the moment our puppy, YumYum turns one, we will be giving them to him, to ensure longevity and a happy healthy life for him as he ventures into adulthood!
