Dogs are required to be on a leash elsewhere within the Pinecrest Recreation Area (Tuolumne County Leash Law). Boating (except for personal watercraft) is allowed on the lake, subject to a 20 MPH speed limit on the lake and a 5 MPH speed limit near the marina and swim area.

Dogs of all sizes are allowed. There are no additional pet fees. Dogs must be quiet, well behaved, leashed, and cleaned up after. No dogs allowed in Day Use Area (between Pinecrest Lake Road/Pinecrest Avenue and the boat launch and the fishing pier) from May 15 to September 15.

Turn right off of Highway 108 at Pinecrest Lake Road. Hike clockwise starting from the Pinecrest Lake Marina or counterclockwise starting from the south shore day use parking area. Trail can be hiked year-round. Dogs must be on a leash (Tuolumne County Leash Law enforced).

Typical dog rules apply in Pinecrest, so as long as you've brought baggies and a leash your canine should be welcomed here without issue. Guests looking to hike will enjoy the Pinecrest Lake National Recreation Trail.
