A fairly steep path takes visitors down to the beach. Nearby, facilities can be found in the villages of Hummanby, and Primrose Valley, including an amusement centre. The Bempton Cliffs Nature Reserve can be found to the east of the beach, and the cliff-top walk here offers excellent views as well as the opportunity to see many species of birds, and occasionally even whales and dolphins out in the surf.
