Try to stay away from lots of rawhide chewies and the treats such as pig ears. They tend to eat them too fast and may choke on them when they become small enough to swallow instead of chew. This has caused many a dogs death….

The American Hairless is a well-muscled dog with a deep chest, strong shoulders, solid neck and powerful legs. The ears are carried erect when the dog is alert and are called bat, similar to the Rat Terrier's. Tails must be full length. Bobs, either natural or docked are a disqualification. The American hairless terrier descended from the rat terrier. Starting in the 1970s, rat terriers were selectively bred for their hairless coats.
