  • The show dog version of the American Pit Bull Terrier is more dog-friendly than his cousin. He is easily trained and forms a tight bond with his owner. As long as he gets adequate exercise, he is a good apartment dog. He weighs 55 to 65 pounds.

However, Pit Bulls are not obsessive about exercise, like some breeds.

Pit Bulls are super loyal.

While Pit Bulls are not good guard dogs because they just love people so much, they may intercede if someone threatens "their" humans.

Pit Bulls are great with children.

If your complex doesn't archaically and ignorantly ban Pit Bulls, Hartstein says they make great apartment pets. Pit Bulls need lots of training, socialization, and exercise, but they aren't very loud dogs.

They can live in any environment as long as the land lord or
apartment owner approves and you take the dog for a long walk.
