It depends on what kind of dog and how much apple you intend to
feed it. I have a Mini Aussie and she was able to eat a slice or
two of apple without puking her guts out. It also depends if they
even like the apple.
Too many apples can be harmful to the dog, and they can die from

Apples are wonderful crunchy treats for your dog.

Apple seeds, however, contain cyanide so your dog should not be allowed to eat the core.

Though the effects of a few Apple seeds will likely not harm your dog, the deleterious effects can accumulate over time if allowed to eat apple seeds regularly.
