Dogs are usually affected after ingesting them on walks.

All parts of the plant, including the bulb, are poisonous.

They contain "scillarens", which are chemicals that slow the heart rate.

After your dog has eaten bluebells, you may see vomiting, diarrhoea, lethargy and disorientation.

Bluebell. All parts of the bluebell pose a risk to dogs, and can even be deadly in large amounts. The function of the heart can be affected, depending on the amount consumed. Diarrhoea, vomiting and abdominal problems are also possible side effects.
