Uncooked fish skin is not safe for dogs to consume due to its potential to transmit parasites and bacteria. Fish skin thats prepared as a dried, jerky-type treat may be offered to dogs as long as surface scales have been removed and no heavy oils or seasonings are used in the preparation process.

Everyone knows that dogs require plenty of protein, but calcium is equally essential and sardines are loaded with this key mineral! There also arent a lot of heavy metals in this particular fish. And the soft digestible bones in sardines can help your dog with achy joints and mobility among many other benefits.

Therefore, yes, dogs can eat fish. Moderation is key; never go overboard when feeding fish for dogs. Small amounts every once in a while is okay for most dogs. Dogs can have fish but only one or two times per week in small, controlled amounts.

Yes, dogs can definitely eat some types of fish. Its actually a healthy source of protein that you will often find mixed into commercial dog food. Along with being a great source of protein, fish is also rich in omega-3 fatty acids and can be great for dogs with specific food allergies that limit what they can eat.
