Yes, of course you can fly with your dog. When flying abroad, your dog can fly in cabin or in the cargo hold. ... Cargo is for bigger dogs that fly in an airline approved pet carrier or kennel. Many airlines will not let your dog fly in cabin if the flight is over 8 hours.

Cabin vs Cargo Hold. Generally speaking most airlines expect dogs to travel in the cargo hold of the plane.

That said, a small number of airlines will allow small dogs in the cabin.

Some dog owners prefer to be able to keep an eye on their pet during flight, while others find this more of an inconvenience.
