The Airedale Terrier is not known for extreme shedding, but he does shed certain times of the year.

Regular brushing with a slicker brush once or twice a week keeps the coat in good condition.

Bathing him too often softens the coarse terrier coat.

The Airedale gets along well with other dogs in his household, as long as he is properly socialized and trained. He can be aggressive, however, with strange dogs that he perceives as threatening.

Airedales are very intelligent dogs, but have a bit of stubbornness or independence. They require a firm, but gentle hand from early puppyhood. Most Airedales are not big barkers, but true to their terrier heritage they can be serious diggers and chewers. Airedales need human interaction to be happy.

The Boston terrier is a bobbed breed, not a docked breed.

That is, he is born with a short tail due to his genes, not because someone cut off any portion of his tail.

Boston terriers have three weight categories: under 15 pounds (7 kilograms), 15 to under 20 pounds (seven to nine kilograms) and 20 to 25 pounds (nine to 11 kilograms).

Males are usually about 17 inches tall and females, about 16 inches tall.

Bostons are compact, well-proportioned, handsome little dogs.

Most Border Terriers are good with children, but, as with all dogs, children must be taught to respect their pet, particularly when it is sleeping or eating.

Border Terriers are generally good with other breeds of dog, but need to be brought up with cats and other pets.
