How big do Cairn Terriers get? Breed standards dictate that Cairn Terriers should be 13 - 14 pounds, reach a height of 9 ? - 10 inches and measure 15 inches from the chest to rump. Full height is usually reached by 10 - 12 months but filling out may continue for several more months. While the physical characteristics of this breed have been standardized for many years now, various factors can cause a Cairn Terrier to fall outside of the normal weight range.
