An aggressive Great Dane can be a very dangerous dog and a crippled or chronically sick Dane can be more of a burden than a pleasure To avoid abuse of the breed, and in particular my own established breeding program, it must understood and agreed that our puppies are NOT sold for the purpose of breeding. - unless by separate written agreement.

Hes an ideal family and sporting dog and is always, always ready for a swim. In fact, he's an excellent swimmer and will happily spend the day retrieving from the water. Lagotto Romagnolo

Great Danes drool and slobber and lumber around in a rather bumptious manner. They are not good choices for fastidious housekeepers, or for those with no sense of humor. Young Great Danes (up to three years old) can be boisterous, and unless supervised, will dismay you with the magnitude of their destructiveness. If you want a dog who...

As soon as they get out fo the water quickly and thoroughly dry them off. This is also a great opportunity to brush out their coat removing any brambles, bugs, or debris that they may have picked up while swimming. Its especially good to do this if they have been swimming in a lake or pond as their more likely to pick up stuff in their fur.

While most dogs sleep an average of 14 hours per day, Great Danes beat them by a couple of hours. This mastery of sleeping has earned them the designation as one of the laziest dog breeds. For more information around how much you can expect a Great Dane puppy to sleep, make sure to take a look at my article here. 10.

10. Great Danes like to ride in cars. Granted, it might be a tight fit if you drive a compact car, but Great Danes, in general enjoy going for rides in your car with you. They do best if you start taking them for rides when they are still younger puppies. This gets them used to the sounds and motions that the vehicle makes when its going down ...

Some Keeshonds are great at playing Frisbee with their owners. Another thing about Keeshonds is that they can adapt to swimming in the lake and running to fetch sticks from the water. This, however, makes them very wet and only short laps at a time are recommended.

At first sight, you may not think that a dog of such stature would be a cuddly lap dog but they, in fact, can be! They love people and often show their affection in a variety of ways. For example, a Great Dane may lean against you ...
