A dog that is wagging its tail high in the air may be aggressive. Tail wagging is a behavior closely associated with dogs, who seem to engage in it more than other animals. The exact reason why dogs wag their tails may not be entirely clear, but it does seem to be linked with a desire to communicate information to other members of the pack.

Essentially, the higher the tail, the more assertive the dog. Dogs with their tails pointing down to the ground or even tucked between their legs are feeling fear and stress.

A GSD wagging its tail slowly is a sign of confusion. Just like a scared child hiding under the table, a scared GSD will hide its tail between its legs. Another meaning would be a plea not to be hurt. Hair rising on a GSDs back is a sign of aggressiveness. A tail positioned stiffly straight out of its body means the dog is ready to fight.

The tail may be low and wagging slowly, usually because the dog is hesitant about something. Or the dog's tail may be held high and moving back and forth, narrowly but rapidly. This discomfort can be a precursor to aggression. 1 ? This is one reason people sometimes report that a dog was wagging its tail just before it bit someone. So, if you ...

They could very well be acting out their dreams, but they are getting a nice, deep sleep. Twitching, tail wagging, leg kicks, and occasional barks or grunts are common. This is a good time to let...

Limber tail syndrome is painful for the dog, making it hurt to wag its tail. It also makes it difficult to read your dogs body language due to the limp tail that it causes. You need to keep your dog in a calm, quiet area where its less likely to be excited or wag its tail while it is suffering from limp tail.

Although tail movement and position vary slightly between dog breeds, many general movements are the same. A wagging tail and a few licks are usually a friendly greeting from a dog. A tail lowered...

German shepherd dog wags its tail. Best answers. Tail wagging fast and wide This means the dog is excited, happy and energetic. For instance, this type of tail wagging usually occurs when a GSD sees his or her owner after an absence. Tail held high and straight This means the dog feels confident and in control of a situation.

Their tail will rarely stop wagging, regardless of who theyre around. Their easy to train nature and loving attitudes make them excellent with children and other dogs when socialized correctly. Its worth noting that, while typically healthy dogs, Russian Spaniels commonly suffer from food allergies.

German Shepherds do wag their tails, though far slower and less erratically than other breeds. The wag is most often a low swishing rather than a body-wiggling maneuver& However, there's nothing physically wrong with a German Shepherd's tail to stop it from wagging in the first place.
