The vinegar will neutralize the ammonia in the dog urine.

After the mixture soaks, you can use a wet/dry vacuum to suck up any remaining moisture.

Once the spot dries, sprinkle on some baking soda and a small amount of hydrogen peroxide with a squirt of dishwashing liquid.
