A RAST test, or radioallergosorbent test
, is a blood test that can be used to determine whether a dog is allergic to certain antigens. This test is often performed as part of the workup for atopy (a skin manifestation of inhalant allergy) in dogs.

In general, however, the following symptoms could be a sign of an allergic reaction.
Itchiness.
Hives.
Swelling of the face, ears, lips, eyelids, or earflaps.
Red, inflamed skin.
Diarrhea.
Vomiting.
Sneezing.
Itchy ears.
