Most ear infections in dogs have underlying yeast and allergies going on. Using an antibiotics alone, without antinflammatory and topical ear medication, is often not successful. However, the dose of Azithromycin in a 60 pound dog would be 150 to 300 milligrams, once to twice daily.

Is it safe to give an 85lb dog a dose of 250mg azithromycin for an oozing rub burn? Cleaning the area and applying Neosporin is recommended. The hair surrounding the burn can be trimmed back to ensure proper healing. As for azithromycin, it is best to speak with a veterinarian prior to self-medicating the dog.

The dog received azithromycin administered at dose of 10 mg/kg per os, once a day for 5 days. After the therapy, the diarrhoea stopped. Effectiveness of the treatment was also confirmed by PCR and microscopic examination. This is the first report on the therapy of canine giardiosis with azithromycin.

You can give a dog up to 5mg per pound of body weight as a dose, which is 215mg. This is a little above, but it should be fine. I would not worry. I hope this helps!
