There is not a time limit on this, and anybody in a vehicle behind them peeping to get past is simply deemed to be rude and impatient. In order to obtain the Pet Passport you must first register your pet with the Vicenza Veterinary Treatment Facility. Your pet's vaccinations (most importantly the rabies vaccination) must be current. You will be provided with forms that have your pet's information and yours.

Upon landing, the animal will be examined by a veterinary officer. If the animal is found to be unhealthy, it will be refused entry in Trinidad and Tobago and returned to the country of origin. If the animal is deemed to be healthy, a landing permit is issued . This permit costs TT$10.00 and must be paid to Customs at the port of entry.

– Before the trip, do not feed the animal too much. It should embark with only a light meal. – Before placing the animal in the carrier, get it to walk for a bit, to relax. – Remember that check-in for passengers transporting pets may take longer.
