Cat food tends to be high in fat, calories and protein which means it's not ideal for dogs. Dogs with sensitive stomachs may suffer gastrointestinal upset, sickness and diarrhoea after eating cat food.

How to soften your dogs kibble by adding water The simplest way to soften your dogs food is to add a little water. You can use fresh water from the tap, or boiled and cooled water its ok if its still a little warm, this will probably help it soak and may increase the scent of the food for dogs that arent hungry.

Add water to dry food Start with adding a few tablespoons of warm water to the dry dog food and let it soften on its own. If you dont like the thickness, you can add a few more tablespoons of water.

On the other hand, some male dogs can be quite picky. If they are used to canned dog food, they will not find kibbles too appealing. Sure, dry food is much cheaper than wet food, but your old dog refuses it. All in all, whether it

Add some spoons of water initially to the dry food to soften it. You can also add warm water to the dry kibble. Do not add excess water, add 1/4th cup of water for every 1 cup of dry food. And voila, now that boring, dry food is not that dry anymore.

Give some of them a shot and see what they can do for your dog! Leave-in conditioners are great for moisturizing the skin. They give a boost of hydration and keep the follicles nourished. Meanwhile, detanglers prevent serious mats.

Check with your vet first to make sure your dog is ready, and then for the first week, mix 1/2 wet food with 1/2 dry food. For the second week, mix 1/4 wet food with 3/4 dry food. On the third week, offer your dog just dry food. The gradual change from dry to wet will be less noticeable to your dog.
