Do not use cephalexin in pets that have a known hypersensitivity or allergy to cephalosporins. It should be used with caution in pets that are sensitive to certain antibiotics including pencillins, cepamycins, and carbapenems. Cephalexin should be used with caution in pregnant and nursing mothers.
