Hopton is a very dog friendly park, But unfortunately not allowed on the beach in high season, But the park is quite big to take your dog for a walk, they do ask you to keep your dog on a lead , as many parks do, if you are thinking of going to hopton, Go in low season if you can then your dog will have the run of a lovely sandy beach,

The beaches at Corton, Hopton and Lowestoft have been badly affected by coastal erosion and the safest thing to do is to drive to Gorleston-on-Sea beach which is about 10 minutes away. The beach there is wide and sandy. Dogs are allowed on part of Gorleston beach (the south part). Hope that helps.

On our previous visits we still had our dog and there are plenty of dog bins about, also the Garden cafe has a covered gated area outside with tables and chairs for dog owners with bowls of water and a jar of dog biscuits. I would recommend Haven Hopton to anyone! We booked 2 caravans for grandparents, parents and grandson for a week in Sept.

Dog Friendly Beaches Great Yarmouth Hopton Beach. If you are staying at Haven Hopton you will have direct access to Hopton Beach, it is a dog friendly beach, with no restrictions. But please be advised that if you are visiting Hopton and not staying local, the Beach Road is quite a narrow one, with double yellow lines on both sides, and there is no parking, so its advisable to park further away and walk with your dog to access the beach.
