Is Your Dog A Narcissist?

There are a lot of different questions you may want to know about your dog. Is your dog a narcissist? Probably this is not one of the main questions you have on your mind right now but it is common among some owners. See, dogs can be narcissists as well. They don’t share the same mental disorder as people with this, but they will act differently and show certain signs.

Signs That Will Help You Deduce If Your Dog Is A Narcissist

  • Your Pet Will Not Please You

Is your dog a narcissist? Most dogs will want to please their owners all the time. You can see that this has a huge part of their behavior and it is a more common thing than you may believe. On the other hand, a narcissistic dog will not care about you. He is focused on himself and not you. This is the first sign and usually the main one you can notice and get the answer to the question.

  • Dogs Will Manipulate You

It is another sign here and the one that is rare but impressive. Your pet will want something and he will try to do anything he can in order to get that. Even if you say no at first, a dog will try different things in order to change your opinion. Yes, this works well most of the time.

  • He Will Look At A Mirror All The Time

Believe it or not, this is possible. Some dogs who have this behavioral trait will look at a mirror at themselves or at any reflective surface all the time. The same thing people who are narcissists will show so you can use this sign to deuce the outcome. Yes, some dogs can spend a lot of time doing this every single day.

  • Your Dog Needs Your Maximum Attention

Many dogs will need and want to get your attention. But, they will not need the complete attention you can provide to them. They only need a small part of it. Well, this means that a dog is selfish in some sort and he can be a narcissist. Typically, this sign is not the main one on the list but if you pair it with other ones, you will see the obvious.

  • A Dog Is Dramatic

Maybe you are playing with your dog and he starts to cry easily. He will run away or he will react strangely even when there is no need to do that. All we can see here is that your dog will end up hurt easily and all the time. He is dramatic and not actually hurt. Dogs are strong and they can withstand a lot. A dog who acts like he can’t actually shows one of the signs we are discussing here.

  • He Needs And Must Get Only The Best

Narcissistic dogs will want only the best. This is another sign people with the same behavior have to show. In simple terms, a dog who wants only the best doesn’t care for you and he may be selfish. A dog is not interested in what you have to offer but he wants what he needs.

This refers to the food, toys, water, and all the rest. It is common that these dogs will refuse most of the foods and toys you are giving them.

  • He Is Needy All The Time

This is another sign that affects people and dogs in the same way. See, narcissists are needy people. Dogs that have this behavior trait will be needy as well. A dog will need a lot of your attention, he will want you to spend a lot of time with him and provide him things he wants at that moment. The Final Word
