Dogs are allowed to have raw okra! One suggestion though the canine shouldn`t have to have an issue with the sticky texture of the plant`s inside. If this doesn`t constitute an issue, then your pooch can go ahead and do its thing. However, moderation is the key!

Okra can be eaten by dogs: It should be taken in small quantities and not every day. Okra can cause gas and other digestive problems in dogs, just like most vegetables. Raw as a treat or chew toy.

Dogs can certainly eat cooked okra, as long as it isnt fried and hasnt been cooked with any flavor-enhancing additives. Onions, chives, and garlic are staples of flavorful cooking, but they are also dangerous to dogs. Ingredients like these have the potential to cause gastrointestinal trouble and damage to red blood cells.

Yes, dogs can eat okra but it should only be given to them in moderation because, like many other vegetables, too much okra can be bad for dogs leading to gas and diarrhea. However, its safe to say that okra is not poisonous to dogs and, in the right dosages, can actually provide a bunch of health benefits that make okra a good treat for dogs.
