Methods to Teach a Dog to Avoid Cars.

1. Each time you reach a road, whether or not there is traffic, have your Dog sit at your side and only release him to cross after giving him the okay.

Some dogs learn, some dogs never will, and might die.

Dogs who live to understand cars, and who can pass whatever part of their neurology that understands cars on to their puppies, will spread that understanding of cars-as-dangerous. However, humans have done their best to eliminate this element of genetic selection from dogs.

That being said even dogs can be surprised by a chance encounter with a snake. For reasons I dont understand dogs magnificent smell sensory ability isnt always in operation apparently. But make no mistake, some dogs are just curious and will want to investigate a snake, much to their own peril. A dog companion/master needs to control his/her dog around a snake in order to protect the dog. Even a non-venomous snake can give a pretty painful bite.
