Some huskies only blow their coat once per year during spring. But many huskies also shed their summer coat during fall. This shedding isn't as severe as the shedding during spring, but it's still a lot of hair in a short period of time. As your husky loses it's summer coat, it will grow the thicker winter coat.

Since Huskies have a double coat, you should expect heavier shedding, especially in warmer climates. It can come as a shock to see so much fur falling out but this is just normal. This is the reason why grooming is very important for a Husky even if it is not shedding season.
