Shedding Level: Pyrenean Mastiffs are heavy shedders. Drooling tendency: The Pyrenean Mastiff is a big drooler, so if you're disgusted by slobber spots on your clothes, you should choose a dog from another breed. Stinkiness: The Pyrenean Mastiff has a high chance of bad smell.

A quick Google search on Tibetan Mastiff cost reveals that they are one of the most expensive breeds in the world. This is partly thanks to a red Tibetan Mastiff, named "Big Splash," selling to a Chinese businessman for a mind-boggling $1.5 million. Tibetan Mastiff puppies for sale command anywhere from $1500 to $5000.

Bathe or dry shampoo only when necessary. Great Pys shed all year round but do so heavily once a year. Origin. The Great Pyrenees originated in Central Asia or Siberia. The breed was descended from the Hungarian Kuvasz and the Maremmano-Abruzzese. The Pyrenees is also a relative of the St. Bernard, contributing to its development. It has a long history as a guard dog of sheep.

The
Pyrenean Mastiff
is
a
double-coated breed, so it does shed twice
a
year. Beyond those times, it does not typically shed much hair. Use
a
rake to aid
in
removing loose hairs when shedding.

Great Pyrenees are an average to high shedding breed. Most of the time the shedding isnt extreme, but once (or sometimes twice) per year it can be very noticeable as they blow coat. This is a normal phenomenon among dogs with thick, soft undercoats like Pyr.
