If your own shampoo includes ingredients such as tea tree oil, aloe vera, or natural colloidal oatmeal, it's less likely to do damage to your dog's skin than a shampoo filled with chemicals. A thorough rinse will remove all traces of shampoo and keep your dog's skin clear and clean.

Can a dog get sick from drinking Christmas tree water?

Keep pets away from Christmas tree water! The water can be stagnant or contain bacteria. Trees can leak sap and the water can contain fertilizers that leak from the tree to the water. If your dog or cat drank tree water and is acting sick, please make an appointment as soon as possible.

Do raccoons climb fences?

Ordinary fences will not keep raccoons from gardens or yards, as the animals will either dig under or climb over them. Raccoons readily locate weaknesses in fences and will rip off loose boards or enlarge holes in wire fences for easy access. Electrified wire wrapped around the trunk of a tree will discourage climbing.

Do skunks climb?

Skunks, unlike raccoons and possums, are poor climbers. I noted that they were able to climb up on my straw bales, but that's about as high as they can go (18″ or so.). Our backyard has a six-foot fence all around it. But skunks are also great diggers.
