Do you have to register dogs?

In order to apply for a dog license, you must provide a certificate showing that your dog is up to date with its rabies vaccinations. Dogs over four months and older must be licensed. If you license your dog in one city and then move to another, you may need to apply for a new license.

Do you have to register service dogs?

They may not, however, ask about the handler's disability, require special identification for the dog or refuse admittance. Businesses that prepare or serve food must allow service dogs in public areas. The ADA supersedes local and state health codes. Once a service dog has been properly trained, registration is easy.
