We can write prescriptions for any species except humans. It is true that we use and prescribe many of the same drugs as are used in humans (very few drugs are developed ONLY for use in non-human animals and we are required to use and prescribe these rather than human drugs whenever they are available).

Can doctors send prescriptions to other states?

If a physician is unable to send a prescription out of state, they can simply send the prescription to a local large chain pharmacy (like CVS or Walgreens) and the patient can pick up the prescription at any of the chain branches.

Does Advantage II require a prescription?

How much does it cost? You will always be charged for a veterinary prescription. This charge will include the cost of the medicine. Our minimum charge for dispensing veterinary prescriptions is £4.50, but prices vary depending on the cost of the medication prescribed.
