Watery eyes: can certainly be part of a cold. Are his eyes itchy or painful? The Nurofen will treat pain and fever, but otherwise won't help with his cold symptoms or the watery eyes. Does he have a history of allergies?Watery eyes and nasal congestion /runny nose can also be signs of allergies, so you can also try an antihistamine.
