If you have a very small dog, you can bathe him in a laundry or kitchen sink. You can bathe larger dogs in showers or bathtubs. If its not too cold outside, you can even bathe your dog outside. If you bathe your dog in a bathtub or sink, the bottom will get slippery when its wet.

What Can I Wash My Dog With? Just as you would look for a shampoo that helps maintain the pH balance of your own scalp, you should also concentrate on finding a shampoo with a pH balance that is specifically balanced for a dog's skin. Dog shampoos should be in the neutral range, around 7.

You should use specified dog shampoo, and get your dog in the bath. Use lukewarm water to wet their hair, shampoo them, and rinse them off. When they are done being washed, towel dry them as much as you can before you let them finish air drying.

Dry washes can be performed with baking soda and cornstarch or even a dry shampoo from your local pet store. These dry ingredients grab onto dirt and oils in the fur and continue to work as your brush them out of your dogs fur.

But its something that new puppy parents often worry about. A daily puppy bath is not essential. Once a month with a gentle puppy shampoo is enough. This will help your puppy get used to bath time from a young age. You can bathe or rinse your puppy more often if they get very muddy and after swimming in salt water.

They suggest mixing 4 cups of hydrogen peroxide (3%,) ? cup of baking soda and a teaspoon of dishwashing soap in a large container before rubbing it into your dog's fur and skin. Take care to avoid the eyes, nose, and mouth when applying and don't leave the solution on for too long as it can bleach darker fur.
