The severity of diarrhea can range from being a simple, upset stomach to a major medical emergency. However, in most cases if a dog has watery diarrhea (i.e. there is mostly water and just a small amount of fecal material in the stool) it should be considered a medical emergency. Clear liquid vomit generally consists of saliva or water. It may or may not have some foamy parts to it as well. One simple explanation for vomiting clear liquid is that the dog drank too much water or drank the water too quickly. Of course, there are other possible reasons for the vomiting, so don't assume it's nothing.

Weird but true:
Dogs
lower intestinal tract glands produce a
clear
, jelly-like slime to lubricate the colon and help
stool
pass more easily. And sometimes, that slime
can
coat your
dog's poop
or accumulate at the end. An occasional coating
is
normal, or it
can
indicate a self-resolving issue, Huggins says.

Hi Ve, Your dog sounds like he is in distress. The clear liquid you see is mucus, which is produced by the colon. He could have a case of colitis, or inflammatin of the colon. Colitis can be caused by parasites, infection, or "dietary indiscretion."

If you have not changed your dog's food or dietary habits, unexplainable changes in your dog's poop are typically the first symptoms of poisoning. Shortly after your dog has consumed a toxic substance, stomach pain and diarrhea may ensue. Ingesting poisonous substances is extremely dangerous and can cause severe conditions if left untreated.
