Laikas (Russian: 09:0, IPA: [?lajkY]) are
aboriginal spitz from
Northern Russia, especially Siberia but also sometimes expanded to include Nordic hunting breeds. Laika breeds are primitive dogs who flourish with minimal care even in hostile weather.
