So, what do German Shepherds like to eat? German Shepherds like to eat most human foods, including meat, fish, milk, beans, vegetables, and certain fruits. They are not picky eaters and will consume virtually any food you place in front of them.

Despite how great it is to learn that German shepherds like to swim, you should remember to limit your adventurousness. There are different types of water, including saltwater and freshwater. Since German shepherds usually swallow a bit of water when they swim, its recommended to only let them roam in freshwater.

German Shepherds do offer kisses and snuggles, as well as love having their belly rubbed and receiving pats of affection from those they love. This affection may not be as often as certain other dogs.

Due to their exceptional curiosity, German Shepherds like to use their nose to get into everything and everyones business. This is why German Shepherds are commonly used for a number of police and military services, including bomb and drug detection.

Oxytocin: Your German Shepherd loves to be happy, and loves when youre happy, too! Unlike some dog breeds who are known for their aloof indifference, shepherds are extremely in touch with your emotions as well as their own. These furry friends will sense your stress, your ease, your discomfort, and so on.

As stated above, German Shepherds like to be close to their people (or their pack). Therefore, they are a breed prone to separation anxiety when their humans are away. Dont let this discourage you, proper training and socialization can significantly help reduce the chances of anxiety becoming an issue.

The German Shepherd is a natural dog. It was first named the Alsatian Wolf-Dog but it was not truly bred with a wolf or even in Alaska. The German Shepherd was developed in Germany in the 1880s as a herder. The German Shepherd Dog is a strong, agile dog and possesses one of the keenest noses in the dog world.
