After 8 hours as long as she is not still vomiting a lot, you can feed her. My recommendation would be to feed some boiled ground beef or boiled chickenbreasts with cooked rice. Two parts rice to one part meat. Feed this until she is back to normal.

As soon as you realise your dog has eaten acorns it is important to contact your vet as soon as possible. Acorn toxicity should be treated promptly, as any delay in treatment can, in severe cases, lead to permanent harm. Do not try to make your dog sick, as it may not be necessary and in some circumstances can be harmful to your pet.

What do you do if your dog eats an acorn? If not caught early, the result of dogs eating acorns can be permanent damage to the liver, so contact your vet or, out of hours, your nearest Vets Now immediately to ensure your dog receives treatment as quickly as possible.

If your dog loves to eat acorns, try to think of things your dog loves even more- like mowing the lawn. Perhaps your dog has a favorite treat, one that gets him excited like nothing else. Stash a few of those in your pocket the next time you go outside, and anytime your dog goes for an acorn, call him back and offer a treat.

What Should I Do If My Dog Eats An Acorn? If your dog eats a small number of acorns, watch for signs of choking and then monitor for acorn poisoning and signs of a blockage over the next 24 hours. If they show signs of distress, or if your dog has eaten more than 3% of their body weight in acorns, bring them to the vet immediately.

If you suspect your dog is experiencing the toxic effects of tannic acid from acorns, make sure to contact your veterinarian as soon as possible. Explain the signs and symptoms your dog is exhibiting and be prepared to bring your dog in immediately.
