Folliculitis. Superficial bacterial folliculitis is an infection that causes sores, bumps, and scabs on the skin.

These skin abnormalities are easier to see in shorthaired dogs.

Folliculitis often occurs in conjunction with other skin problems, such as mange, allergies, or injury.
