Dogs often lick objects (pants, beds, walls, the ground) because they want to investigate a smell, but the smell is not strong enough.

On the other hand, if your dog is constantly and repeatedly licking the bed, for long periods of time, then your dog may be experiencing some form of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
