Dogs do not have any baby molars. At around 12 weeks, the deciduous teeth begin to fall out, and the permanent teeth begin to erupt. Normally by 6 months of age, all permanent teeth have erupted, and all deciduous teeth have fallen out .

When will my puppy lose their teeth? All puppies are born without teeth (just like human babies!) At three to six weeks your dog will start developing their deciduous (baby) teeth. Theyll start losing their baby teeth again as their adult dog teeth come in. Its a natural part of growing up. When puppy teeth fall out often depends on the breed.

Between four weeks and eight weeks of age is when a puppys teeth will come in. Puppy teeth fall out in stages, with the first of those teeth starting to fall out when a puppy is anywhere between twelve and sixteen weeks old. The last of those puppy teeth will generally fall out when a puppy is around five to seven months old.

Dog teeth falling out is a common occurrence and can be very upsetting for the pet owner. While it may be upsetting for your dog, it is very important to try to understand why your dog is losing his teeth. There can be many causes for this condition that will need to be looked at and corrected.

Normally by 6 months of age all permanent teeth have erupted and all deciduous teeth have fallen out. But when your adult dogs teeth start to fall out or youve got a sofa-loving senior with the sort of breath that can clear a room its time to delve a little deeper into the reasons why dogs teeth fall out and whether you need to get your vet involved.
