You should never take your dog to the groomer when she is in heat. The groomer's place would be filled with other dogs and that is risky for your dog. Male dogs get attracted to female dogs and when in heat, male dogs track them and come to them, which might leave them pregnant.

A simple way to predict your puppy's size is by doubling his size once he is 16 weeks old. The 16 weeks times two formula should be a reasonable estimate of the fully grown size of your puppy. Although there is no science behind this rule of thumb, it seems to work most, if not all the times.

There's a relatively small window when your dog is most fertile during the heat cycle; it may begin about nine or ten days after she goes into heat and lasts about five days. However, she can become pregnant until the end of the cycle.
Although it depends mostly on the breed, hair length, and type of coat, regular grooming should be done about once a month. For young puppies and dogs who have never been groomed, more frequent grooming or brushing at home should be done to get the dog used to being handled and to avoid grooming issues into adulthood.

Female dogs are "in heat " when they have entered the fertile part of their reproductive cycle. A heat lasts for 3 weeks on average and a dog will usually go into heat every 6 to 8 months. Most breeds have their first heat at about 6 months old but it may be earlier or later.

Generally, an adult average sized dog at 12 months of age, weighs about twice their weight at 4 months of age, or 2.5x the weight at 14 weeks. Adult giant breeds grow more slowly, take longer to mature, and don't reach adult growth until they're at least 16-18 months old.
The usual time for visible heat signs in a dog are 2 -4 weeks. Even if the dog has no vaginal bleeding, it can be in heat. Dogs usually ovulate after the vaginal bleeding stage and that is when they can actually conceive puppies. Non-spayed female dogs will go into "heat" or estrus usually twice a year.
