Meet adoptable deaf, one year old girl Howdy who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her, make daily positive reinforcement training/socialization and enrichment a priority and always keep her safe.

From her rescue advocate: Howdy, my name is WINTER, I’m about a year old girl and love all humans, dogs and even cats! I like playing with toys, running around the back yard with my foster siblings, and sunbathing after playtime.

I’m a medium energy puppy that is crate trained, doing very well on potty training when kept on a schedule and do great on a leash. My foster parents say that I’m their shadow since I’m very curious about everything they are doing and I never leave their side.

I was born deaf, but that doesn’t stop me from being a happy playful girl, also my dad mentioned that I’m food motivated and that helps with my training, I don’t know what that means, I just know I love food.

I’m currently 58 pounds, most likely full grown!
My foster parents are teaching me hand commands to sit and come and I’m catching on very quickly! I was rescued from the middle of a busy freeway hours before a winter storm hit!

I have had a couple of seizures in the past, so my foster parents took me to the vet who put me on some seizure medication. The Doc would like me to be seizure free on this current medication to ensure it is working correctly so I will likely be on meds for life. I am spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and current on heartworm/flea/tick prevention.
